Cultivating the Land, Empowering Communities, and Securing the Future
At Bethleem Foundation, a nonprofit organization in Haiti, we believe that lasting solutions to poverty must be rooted in local initiative, sustainable livelihoods, and community resilience. Since our founding in 2009, Bethleem has supported initiatives that seek to strengthen families and communities through practical opportunities and local development.
Under the leadership of Pastor Olnick Duverne, our Sustainable Agroecology & Farming Program promotes environmentally responsible farming practices and sustainable agricultural opportunities for local farmers and community members. The program aims to encourage food production, strengthen household livelihoods, promote environmental stewardship, and help communities build greater resilience and self-sufficiency. Through sustainable agriculture, we seek to contribute to a healthier environment, stronger families, and a more hopeful future for Haiti.

Connecting Agriculture and Education
Our agricultural initiatives are closely connected to the Bethleem Evangelical School. Food produced through our farming activities helps support the school’s lunch program, providing students with fresh, locally grown food as part of their daily meals.By connecting agriculture with education, Bethleem seeks to create a sustainable cycle in which farming helps nourish children, while education equips the next generation with knowledge, values, and skills to contribute to their families and communities.The farm helps nourish the school. The school helps prepare the future. Our agricultural project is directly linked to the Bethleem Evangelical School. The nutritious food grown on our farms is used to supply our school lunch program, ensuring that our 108 students receive fresh, locally produced, and highly nutritious meals daily.
By connecting our farming initiatives with our educational platform, this charity in Haiti creates a closed loop of sustainability: the farm feeds the school, and the school educates the future caretakers of the land.
