At the Bethleem Foundation, we believe that providing youth with practical, sustainable skills is one of the most effective ways to break the cycle of poverty and rescue them from systemic violence. Established under the vision and hands-on leadership of our founders, Olnick Duverne and his wife, Rose-Mada Pierre-Louis Duverne, our Vocational Training School in Cabaret, Haiti, was created as a safe haven for young men and women who lack the financial means to afford professional education.
Many of our students are survivors of unimaginable hardships. A large number of them have lost their parents to rampant gang violence, while others are young women who have been victims of abuse. Driven by their heart for community restoration, Olnick and Rose-Mada Duverne built this professional school to provide these young souls with a community of love, psychological resilience, and real tools for economic independence.
Our Current Active Program
Due to limited financial resources, our current active training is focused on specialized artisan craftsmanship that allows for immediate income generation: Crochet & Macramé (Kwochè ak Makrame): Supervised on the ground by Rose-Mada Pierre-Louis Duverne, this program empowers young women and vulnerable youth to create handcrafted goods, clothing, and home decor. It fosters entrepreneurship, teaches business basics, and serves as a powerful creative outlet for emotional trauma healing, giving students a safe space to rebuild their lives.
Future Expansion: Urgent Need for Instructors and Trades

Olnick Duverne and Rose-Mada Pierre-Louis Duverne have a strategic blueprint to expand this curriculum into heavy technical trades to help young people secure high-paying jobs and rebuild their country. We have the vision and the students ready, but we currently lack the funding to pay qualified instructors and purchase equipment. We are actively seeking sponsorships, partnerships, and donations to hire teachers and launch the following critical classes: Tailoring & Sewing (Kouti): To teach garment making and fashion design. Music & Arts Ministry (Mizik): To provide therapeutic musical education for trauma survivors. Tiling & Masonry (Karelaj): To equip young men and women with infrastructure building skills. Plumbing (Plonbri): To train technicians in clean water systems and sanitation.
